Pastor Father Valentine Suum

Father Valentine is originally from Cameroon. He studied philosophy for 3 years at St. Thomas Aquinas Major Seminary in Bambui, and Theology for 4 years. He was ordained to the Priesthood on April 24, 2003. He's been serving the Diocese of Calgary since 2018 and he was granted Incardination into the Diocese in December 2024.
He was Associate pastor at St. Bernard's (Calgary), Associate pastor at the Cathedral, Associate pastor at St. Patrick's (Calgary) and in June 2024 he was appointed Associate pastor of St. James parish in Okotoks. We are grateful for his service at St. Martha's and we offer prayers of support.

Deacon Michael Pollard

Deacon Michael assists the Pastor with liturgical duties. Deacon Michael completed his three year journey in the diaconate program and was ordained in October 2010. He quickly jumped in with both feet, helping with various pastoral works in our Parish. We look forward to having Deacon Michael involved in St. Martha's faith formation for many years to come.

Cristiana is glad to serve St. Martha's parish, engaging and building relationships with people both within and outside of our Church community. She makes her duty to be updated on all the activities of the diocese, the neighboring parishes, so to get everybody involved, for the entire community's growth in faith, hope, charity. | "And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. Sacraments Coordinator Zachary Hampton

Zachary is in charge of sacramental prep at St. Martha's. He obtained his Masters in Theology from the Augustine Institute in 2019 and his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Lethbridge in 2017. Previously, he served as the president of the Catholic young adult ministry in Lethbridge from 2016 - 2020. If you or your child are looking to celebrate Baptism, First Communion, First Reconciliation, Confirmation, or join RCIA, Zachary is the man to talk to!

Family Life Coordinator: AJ Barrows

My name is AJ Barrows, and I’m blessed to serve as your Lethbridge Family Life Coordinator. For over ten years, I’ve worked in full-time ministry across North America, both in the U.S. and Canada. Our mission is to serve the entire Lethbridge Catholic Community, no matter which side of Whoop-Up you call home.
Our goal is to bring people together, foster meaningful connections, and build a united city wide community. We serve students through regular school visits, weekly Youth Nights for grades 6–12, and ongoing family events. We’re always seeking new ways to grow and serve, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to get involved.

Caretaker: Myra Poulin

Hi everyone! I am extremely blessed to be the caretaker of St. Martha's since October, 2023. I am also self-employed as a residential and commercial cleaner since 2012. I have resided in Lethbridge since 1997, where I joined the East Lethbridge Catholic community, and since 2020, I have also joined St. Martha's, where I primarily attend. In October, I married Rick Poulin, and together we serve the Lord in music ministry at the Tuesday 7pm mass as well as the Saturday 5pm mass. We also are involved in the Lethbridge Live-In, which holds retreats for those desiring to know Jesus in November, February, and May each year. In addition, we are music leaders for the Wednesday night People of Praise community, who gather weekly to praise, pray, and practice living life in the Spirit. Together, we enjoy 8 children and 21 grandchildren! I currently homeschool my youngest son since 2020. Life is full and blessed with the abundance of God's goodness to us! If you see me around the church, at mass, or in the community, please, say, hello! 😊
